محکم جمہوریت کےلئے عورتوں کی بااختیاری اور اُن کی قیادت
BAOBAB for Women’s Human Rights partnered with WELDD to combat child marriage in Nigeria. Their project builds on BAOBAB’s existing successes in outreach and movement-building, aiming to build momentum amongst Nigerian women at the local level in two communities in Zamfara state. The project represents a new departure in ending child marriage in Nigeria. Most initiatives on ending child marriage in Nigeria have neglected the participation of the grassroots which has affected the way the majority of women and men at local level respond to the issues of child marriage. BAOBAB’s project fills this gap, and gives ownership to women at the grassroots of the struggle to end child marriage. In this video, BAOBAB interview a participant in one of their workshops held as part of their project, to discuss its impact.
