All Those Who Have Broken My Heart is a gut-wrenching documentary, chronicling the downward spiral the people of Swat faced during and after Taliban take over of the valley. From a peaceful land of story tellers and hard workers, it went on to becoming a brutal battleground where opposing narratives and agendas clashed. This documentary by Shirkat Gah, which was written and directed by Gulnar Tabassum, tells the story of the people who have stood strong against the tide of brutality and negativity. Under WELDD programme, the empowered locals tell a tale of resilience and courage in the face of dire circumstances. Women and men both speak up and share their views. This documentary also features the aftermath of the shooting of the brave young activist, Malala Yousufzai. WELDD Leaders who knew the young woman recount their feelings and emotions about the girl who fought for her right to education and has now won the Nobel Peace Prize for her activism.
This documentary is a must watch for all. Despite some graphic violent content, it boldly shows how, with activism and advocacy, inroads can be made in the most troubled areas for peace and reconciliation.
