Losing her husband to the tsunami did not make Mukramati, an Acehnese women from Gampong (Village) Mon Cut, Lhoknga, lose hope. Instead, she continued to strongly raise their child, Izzatul to be happy, healthy, and educated. As well as being both mother and father for Izzatul, Mukramati is also a strong and caring Gampong figure. She established a neighborhood health center for the elderly and became the leader of the Komite Air (Water Committee).
Although residents of the other Gampong represented in the Committee questioned the leadership of Mukramati because she was a woman, in the eyes the Keuchik (Chief of the Village) and other members of the Komite Air, she has proven her ability as the chairwoman of the Committee and she is greatly respected.
This film raises the portrait of women's success as a leader of a committee in managing the area’s natural resources, the main source of life, despite the wider community still assuming that a leader has to be a man.
