Senegal: Case des Jeunes Femmes break through workplace stereotypes

‘Case des Jeunes Femmes’ in Senegal targets young women from disadvantaged segments of society, and offers them training in areas of work normally dominated by men, such as welding, electronics, and mechanics. The organisation helps to break down gender stereotypes, change community attitudes, and spread workforce empowerment to women throughout Senegal. Fatou Bintou Dione is a Project Assistant at 'Case des Jeunes Femmes' and participated in the WELDD workshop on political and public participation in Dakar, Senegal in April 2013.  Since the workshop, she shared these photographs of the activities showing some of the young women reached by the organisation.
