Athens-Clarke County police said Wednesday that, "alcohol impairment, racing, reckless driving, and speed were significant contributing factors to the crash" in January that killed two members of the Georgia football program. The passenger who suffered injuries in the car accident is a 17-year-old boy who lives in Hellertown, PA. His medical status has not been publicly updated, but he is expected to survive his accident-related injuries. In Bucks County, statistics from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration show that traffic crashes remain a primary public safety issue. Additionally, it is possible that the driver and passenger in the other vehicle involved in the auto accident may be able to file personal injury lawsuits to seek compensation for their medical bills, as well as their pain and suffering.
