For the same price, you can get the Yamaha DBR12s which are considerably louder (getting close to k12 level performance), and 4 more years of warranty. The sound quality is better than the installed systems in most cases. Sucks having to use a mixer (in a simple/casual home setup) when I'm not mixing anything, and just need a signal boost because the DBR has an unexpectedly low input sensitivity.
